After dark and not carrying anything illegal nowadays is quite relaxing
Getting the impression the place is even less friendly after dark than it used to be.... Getting a lot of tightly clutched handbags and people trying to give me as much space as possible here....
Never used to be this bad...
Maybe I’ve still got my Christmas shopping murder face on....

Anyhoo think I’m still technically breaking the law by walking about with a beer on the go

W alking around with a good beer is one of life’s little pleasures - not drunk, just happy and enjoying the sights with a nice beverage in a place/time that is appropriate to do so.

Nah... that’s probably
just you getting afraid of the world in your old age. I’ve observed more than a few times how people get fearful of the world as they age.

Never that bad, or never that deserted... how can it be bad if there’s nobody around.
Reminds me of my recent visit to Austria where my mom and I stayed with my aunt (my mom’s youngest sister) who lives in a sleepy 15,000 person town. She was telling me to ‘be careful’ when I went out for a walk at night.
She would freak over the characters out in my area in Toronto at night.
They don’t bother me.
